The power of perspective is an amazing thing.
When I first saw this photo, I was impressed that it seems to depict CDEX technology being demonstrated in an "optically busy" environment.... ie: BACKLIGHTING no less. In my opinion, it appears to me that this technology is being demonstrated with a light being directed in it's direction from behind that sample.

I assume the disc being scanned has a known "trace" amount of one of the target species - or, actually, METH since the prototype is described as a METH detector (meth, cocaine, marijuana, heroin and peroxide-based explosives to be included in the mass produced units). The fact that it is demonstrating STAND-OFF at ANY distance is significant in my view as well. No touching of the material, no sample required, etc etc. That is significant in my opinion.

Xenophon, one really wonderful aspect in all of this is that we seem to have entered a phase where expectation of results have become TIME BOUND. If you are seriously making an attempt to suggest that this technology functions only in a darkend inside room with no windows, it will not take much time for us to see if my views regarding this important and exciting technology are correct, or your apparent views.

No longer do shareholders have to deal with an open-ended "at some point in the future" situation. Expectations are now time bound - at least in my opinion.

August - CDEX begins meth gun activity with an un-specified East Coast Entity

September - CDEX begins meth gun activity (an actual 90-day field pilot-test program) with the State of Missourri Highway Patrol

September (mid-month) CDEX will have a quarterly report due that should include ValiMed 2nd generation activity I think. Also, if remembry serves me, Sept brings some activity in the form of something scheduled with ASD settlement hearing.

September-October-NOVEMBER... 90 days into the State of Missourri Highway Patrol activity ... I would expect some sort of news by November from CDEX and/or Missourri.

October - CDEX fiscal year-end

December - ASHP/Baxa

December - Per Mr. Griffin, the company’s intent is to stand up international distribution for ValiMed before the end of calendar year 2006. CDEX was "currently" looking at companies in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia when Mr. Griffin provided this information.

December-January-etc hopefully final tweaks on the CDEX illicit drug detector (plus its ability to detect peroxide-based explosives!)

And then... MASS PRODUCTION - Illicit Drug Detector. WOW! Hand held, battery operated, fast (seconds), networkable, stand-off detector of multiple drugs and explosives.

Keep in mind, by then the beta-test with a bona-fide law enforcement agency (in the Missouri State Highway Patrol) will be history. Possibly history-making!

In my view, we've NEVER had a road map this clear - no more "DEFINE SOON". Each month should have significant and exciting developments. August-September-October-November-December-January-February-March

The road map laid before us STRONGLY suggests these will be the most exciting 8 months yet! I look forward to these 8 months. BUT... I REALLY look forward to the next 45 DAYS when the next quarterly report is published.

DAYS!!! 45 DAYS!!! We should see some interesting info within the next 45 DAYS or so, and that actually seems reasonable SOON. For me, based upon what I expect, 8 months seems reasonably soon too! WOW

A hand held, battery operated, fast (seconds), networkable, stand-off detector of multiple drugs and explosives, plus medical equipment being used by Univ of Utah/Huntsman, Univ of Maryland, Univ of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospital, All Children's Hopsital St Petersburg, etc etc - SOME OF THE BEST HOSPITALS per US News and World Report. And... not to mention our experts...
