Although it might be a strategic move for AROPQ to cancel the common, for their management team, not so much. They very well know the PPS will rocket if they save the commons. They have as much interest as we do to keep the shares trading as they move to emerge from BK.
To cancel the common and reissue shares would not be a good investment on their part. Loyal shareholders will angrily leave AROPQ in the dust. And the recent history will not attract new shareholders. This is a very sensitive time for AROPQ and their goal right now is to protect this and rebuild a positive reputation in the market.
Yes, I agree that they cant just say one way or another, it does comes down to what has to be done, but when that decision is made, they also have to look at how it will affect them down the road, "all action have reaction".
