Thanks. I agree the word doesn't necessarily offend me. I've seen Carlin live and have heard Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor use the word many times and laughed my arse off. I've heard it and even spoke it all my life, and all the time as I sold heavy construction equipment for over 40 years... hence my moniker 'bulldzr'. I found that most of the folks that used it too often were less than well educated, and may have had a limited vocabulary because of this... that's how they communicated with their fellows.

I appreciate, and note the fact that you are able to make hundreds of valuable posts sans the use of the word. I try to avoid use of the word, especially in mixed company, and this is certainly mixed company. I just don't believe it adds to the discourse and narrative in any valuable way... I try to use the rule, "what would my wonderful Mother think?"

That's all... everyone can say what they choose and I am certainly not trying to 'moderate' this board.

By the way... my son is an officer in the USAF, and hard as I can try to remember, I don't remember ever hearing the 'word' come from his mouth.

Later and Best, bulldzr
