Microsoft Lends Credibility to Cannabis Compliance:

I'd say this article in Fortune last month is a strong endorsement to Helix's niche growth strategy within the emerging legal Cannabis market. Like a domestic Frontier market.

Microsoft has partnered with KIND, out in California.

"Microsoft ( MSFT 1.72% ) has dived into the burgeoning marijuana business, through a partnership with cannabis-industry-focused financial technology firm Kind Financial...

On Thursday, Kind announced a new service for government agencies and regulators that enables so-called “seed to sale” tracking..

-------------------------------------------------------------

GREEN GENIE'S THOUGHTS: This week's acquisition of Cannabase describes it as a "platform designed in 2013 to provide seed-to-sale marketing and sales tools.."

It seems to me that Microsoft is indirectly endorsing the legitimacy of this strategy playing out in Colorado, too.

---------------------------------------------------------------

"Microsoft’s executive director of state and local government solutions, Kimberley Nelson, told the New York Times that the company expects “significant growth” in the industry.

“As the industry is regulated, there will be more transactions, and we believe there will be more sophisticated requirements and tools down the road,” she said."

Well heeled and knowledgeable investors also see a future with KIND'S future and its industry niche -- one that resembles Helix TCS.

Here they secure a second round of financing, and they are not a public company. They are a private from what I can tell.

In this article, David Dinenberg, founder of KIND, is interviewed about how he raised money for his startup and what investors are looking for.

Very interesting. He raised $2M and explains how he did it. And he is a private company at this time, which to me is an endorsement to the legitimacy of investing in this business model as there is no way for those investors to get their returns for a long time, being locked up that way.
