When I called my broker and asked them Not to allow my shares to be borrowed, they told me they do not borrow shares from an IRA account. But, when I place a GTC sell order in my IRA account at a high price value, I have constantly seen the same number of shares suddenly sold at the current lower bid. It appears to me that my shares are being borrowed when I place the GTC sell, no matter how high of a price point. Just my observation. GLTY!
