I think that's a good question (if that's what it was).

"So Dr. B is now de facto CEO and our new face ?"


Is there some way to interpret this exchange without it being perceived to be "parsing"? (I'll take that one myself...probably not.)

"Just got a reply from Leo, asked him about the Comprehensive Update and if we are still going to get it,..?"

His reply:
"Dr. Bertolino is now taking hold of all projects and will be giving the update as previously announced."


Perhaps rather than the "now de facto CEO and our new face" all we learn from it is that going forward Dr. B will be handling the project-related press and shareholder communications...those aren't necessarily CEO duties anyway.
I'm not sure what it means to take hold of projects.
