Proud? For doing something that someone else should have done 10 or 15 minutes earlier?

I didn't stumble upon the guy in the middle of nowhere (that happened once), he was in the middle of town with cars passing both ways, at least one car every 1 or 2 seconds passed by him. The the credit of the assholes that didn't stop, they swerved around to avoid running over him, probably cursing as they did because of the effort required to do that much.
