British men arrested after unleashing hate-filled rant against American military vet: ‘You’re a dirty little immigrant!’ (WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE)

Two British men and a teen boy tossed beer in an American military veteran’s face and demanded he “get back to Africa” during a Tuesday morning train ride, police said.
Manchester police released footage of the commuting attack — which showed the foul-mouthed group verbally berating Juan Jasso until other passengers forced them off at a stop — and called it a hate crime.
They announced later in the day [ http://www.gmp.police.uk/live/nhoodv3.nsf/WebsitePages/2F6651260DF7958A80257FE00054B587?OpenDocument ] that they had arrested two men aged 20 and 18 years old and a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of affray, a crime which refers to fighting in a public place to disturb the peace.
“F--king immigrant!” one of them shouted at the man, who spoke with an American accent and later said he'd served in the military. “Get off the tram now! Don’t chat s--t or get deported.”
The hate-filled rant came just days after the U.K. voted to leave the European Union — a decision many critics claimed was rooted in a racist fear and hatred of immigrants. Jasso, an American who has lived in Britain for the last 18 years and is a lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, later identified himself as the victim of the verbal assault.
The tram-ride tantrum started when the man, who was not identified, asked two young people to stop swearing in front of children on the 7:30 a.m. tram, he told Channel 4, according to the Manchester Evening News [ http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/its-not-acceptable-any-terms-11539151 ].
The request set off the pair, who were holding beer bottles and sitting toward the back of the car.
“Don’t chat s--t when you’re not even from England, you little f--king immigrant,” one of them barked. ‘You’re a dirty little immigrant. Get back to Africa!”
The victim remained calm — but decided to debate the insult-hurling attackers.
"You are extremely ignorant and not very intelligent, you know that? Jasso asked. “What are you 18? 19? I’ve been here longer than you have.”
The bigoted duo continued their screaming tirade.
“Listen you little Muppet! Don’t talk s--t to me!” one of the teens screamed. “Get off the tram now! Get off the tram now!”
One of them then approached their victim, beer bottle in hand, and sloshed it in Jasso’s direction, sending liquid flying across the crowded tram.
Other commuters defended the American and demanded the vicious group get off the tram themselves.
“You are an absolute disgrace. A disgrace to England,” a woman shouted as the two exited the lightrail at a stop.
As the young men de-boarded — still shouting, “f--king immigrant!” — Jasso mentioned he had once served his country.
"Seven years in the military,” he said to himself.
The veteran, whose Facebook says he has spent time as a rugby coach around the UK, said that he has not experienced only one such incident, and that the Brexit vote may have something to do with increasingly visible racism in the country.
"I think there was an undertone there before, but I think the result maybe has pushed people to somehow justify that they think it's ok to act out in this way, which obviously it's not."
Since the Brexit vote last week, British Muslims have reported more than 100 hate crimes across the country, according to the Muslim Council of Britain. London police began investigating a rash of Sunday crime against Polish immigrants, too.
Police across the U.K. have urged Brits to be especially vigilant and report any hate crimes.
Chief Inspector Gareth Parkin thanked those who helped identify the suspect in a statement, saying "“I would like to thank the public for their help and support in this investigation, which has led to the swift arrest of these three people,” “All hate incidents are treated with the upmost severity and this behavior will not be tolerated in Greater Manchester.”
GMP said on Twitter Wednesday morning that two suspects had been interviewed and bailed, while one was still being questioned.
