[16:48 US FED: Yellen--At a Delicate Point for Policy] Boston, July 31. San Francisco Fed President Janet Yellen (voter) said that the Fed is at "a delicate point for policy." She said she does not intend to send a signal about expectations for the August 8 FOMC meeting though she indicated that Bernanke does a good job of explaining policy and that the Fed is "close to the end of the road" with rate hikes. All in all, Yellen sounds as dovish as ever and likely to vote to hold rates steady at next week's FOMC meeting.
