I'm not certain about their forklift needs but found this on globewire -

First bid for postal fleet: USPS’ plan to replace its entire fleet of 180,000 vehicles has got a respond. AMP pointed out potential cost savings to the United States Postal Service if it would use E-GEN electric trucks and HorseFly drones. The company says it has the capacity to produce 60,000 vehicles annually.

This had to do with the 180,000 vehicles for mailbox delivery to electric perhaps, but if they plan to make such a huge swap-over, using hydrogen would be more realistic for distribution centers/forklifts. My mail delivery is bad enough as it is, I can't imagine if they had to charge his jeep for hours at a time. Honestly, I'd rather see them change their delivery fleet to hydrogen - it would given incentive to fueling stations getting on-board with the new world order for clean energy. My father used to budget for USPS, he would have totally given a thumbs up to use of H2, but then he put in lots of innovative programs.

As someone involved in the oil industry too, I'd like to see a contract with USPS that would mean they help get fueling station technology on-board and they get a royalty from the H2 industry - USPS could use the supporting funds and a new image as the industry that made the change-over happen. But, heck, I'm an outside the box thinker.
