The trillions spent on defense budgets over the past 10 decades have led to lots of commercial products...in fact to all of civil aviation. What's your point?

I think we can all agree that the line between "national security" and "commercial interests" is very blurry, especially when it comes to governments that always seems to know better than the market.

I'm still amazed, for example, at how the government is in complete denial over cryptology. Look at the spat between the FBI and Apple, for instance.

"Give us a back door, it's for national security." Riiiiiiiight.
