OT: Thanks Red Cloud. We just got back from visiting relatives all over East and Central Texas. We did some looking around in Austin, primarly Lakeway and Spicewood area. Previously took a drive around the lake area including Marble Falls and North. We like the hills around the Lake, but again seems all high taxes. Someday will have to go back when can look more thoroughly, without the relative thing. Grew up Houston, school at TCU, San Antonio in USAF, short time Amarillo and like the Austin area the best. If we go to Texas, thinking of paying cash for the house and have the taxes as the monthly payment. That would reduce the impact.
