Well Pasta, SmokeCloak to confuse a shooter loose in a nightclub is an original idea. I'm in no way saying I have any right way to go here. But since you asked for thoughts, I guess my wanderings count.

My initial reaction to having SmokeCloak in a convenience store to confuse an armed robber has been concern the bastard would start shooting away blindly in panic. I extend that a nightclub, where everybody is already in a high-panic mode. Then what?

In my prayers, the cloud may provide enough momentary distraction to allow someone to take the shooter down physically. But that's just hoping a miracle would happen. Unfortunately, I go through these damn scenarios in my head all the time. What would I do?

I stepped between an abusive husband and his wife once, and he pulled a knife out. I shit all over myself, but by the grace of God was still able to speak somehow. I think if I interrupted an active shooter, he'd just shoot me. But the momentary interruption is there.

Heard of the horror in Orlando going to church. One of my buddies who has a concealed carry came in a little late with his shirt tails untucked. I was fairly comforted by that, and thought of how I could run a decoy to get him a clear shot. And the service I was supposed to be paying attention to was focusing on passion and forgiveness.

I dunno. I like your idea.
