Ted- The order they filled is the initial 122 unit one. A new tender was put out in March by CATSA and that is expected to be around $20-25mn per official tender documents. It is going to be out most likely today. Think about it. You are selling your company which has $45-50mn in sales but there is this huge order in the pipeline which you know you will get (as you already got the initial one and you got everything in NA) but the buyer is putting a probability around it. What would you do? Take that probability weighted amount of wait, get this order which is apps. 50% of your sales and seal the deal? This will have a direct impact on the buyout price and it will be material. It can move the price 10-20 cents...Anyone with a sane brain would see that given the problems of Platinum, the chances of a deal increased exponentially. However, you see how retails behave. There is outright lies and fear mongering. DM is an insider now and they can not sell even a single share. Do you think they will add to their legal issues by taking that risk? There is absolute no chance but even that's being thrown out there as many other baseless accusations. Obviously the buyer's hand is stronger against Platinum but what about the price range is set already? I.e. Say 1.20 with no CATSA and 1.40 with CATSA? And it is a signed document? Does this explain McGann's relaxed mood and last victory lap? Just think...finally, the buyer needs to make the senior management here happy. The major way to do this is the CHange in Control pmts. guess what those pmts are tied up to? The equity valuation of the company. I don't feel sorry for people who panick and get out at this juncture at these fire sale prices because they don't know enough info to have an idea and it is their problem. However, anyone who knows even a little about M&A transactions can see why they are waiting and it is prudent. A deal will be completed in the next 7-8 business days in my opinion. Focus on the facts not fear.
