On the good news front, President Buhari has been treated in London for a persistent cough and hearing loss in one ear, and is scheduled to be back in Nigeria this Thursday...The Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have called a temporary ceasefire while Boko Haram has renewed its activity in the North. Not that I like Boko Haram but their heightened activity would be good for tactical vehicle sales. As I mentioned before, tactical vehicles would not be useful for fighting the NDA (they are better fought by air and water). So from a completely amoral business perspective, we want more Boko Haram activity and less NDA activity. We also want higher gas prices so that Nigeria can refill its government coffers.
