The question is how badly Intel wanted to get a foot in the mobile door at Apple. It makes no sense to lose money with a customer that will drop you in an instant to save a penny.



The answer to that question is another question.

Why would Apple go with Intel? Is it really to diversify the suppliers? If so, how badly did Apple want that?

Personally I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. This is positive news for Intel.
