Here is a factor I have not discussed before and highlights the difference between television and streaming. While we did not get the big bounce we were looking for with the JLO video initially, there is absolutely no denying that those numbers did increase and are on the rise (with possibly a huge tail at the end of the month that will be revealed in June).

Now, as the numbers rise past 87.5 million views, it is time to revisit what makes this type of promotion so superior to television. One, the numbers keep racking up a staggering tally. If we boost past 100 million soon, then we may push past half a billion by the end of summer / beginning of fall. That is simply enormous from a volume perspective.

Second, as many of those viewers watch the video over and over again, there is a strong possibility that they will get the FDBL message through repetition. That will drive downloads over time and continue to build the brand. Finally, there are over 96,500 people who have made videos supporting the JLO video due to its popularity. Not only will some of those numbers likely be reflected in future numbers, but they also spawn thousands of watchers who will no doubt go to the source material or talk about it to their friends. In the spirit of that, I have included a link to an Alvin and the Chipmunks remix of the song.
