Here's an easy analogy that pertains to this case here for some novices. Lets say you have 100 American bills at $1. That equates to $100. But let's say you exchange them for ten, $10 bills. You have less bills, but the value is exactly the same...

Nothing has changed here except for the forward advancement in executing this deal.
