The $2M version of the MetalFab1 incorporates 2 lasers. Other configurations have up to 4 lasers. The integration of Printrite3D® into the EOS 290 that Sigma Labs has at their facility took (X) weeks (anyone know?), and it only has 1 laser and was probably installed by the person who invented, or co-invented, the system.

I'd be interested in knowing what sort of documentation is supplied with the SW/HW suite. My guess is that it would have to be somewhat generic, and that the ideal integration process would involve sending a trained Sigma Labs representative along with the first installation of a system at a new customer's site. That's what the manufacturer of a $40k oscilloscope did when my company purchased the first one. The written documentation in this case was very good, but who has time to read a 400-page manual? No substitute for the personal touch. Once we got one of "our" guys to become an expert at using the thing, we ended up buying several more, because we had confidence in both the 'scope capabilities and our ability to effectively use it.

Yeah, I know that Sigma Labs doesn't have the manpower (at present) to do this--but asking "How long is it going to take?" to do the first integration on a new system is pointless--it's going to take as long as it's going to take. What's important is that Sigma Labs provide the support necessary to implement integration of the first system for each new customer, and I really hope they can do so to ensure future orders.
