POWfolio still #1!!! A Red Giant Entertainment co-owned product continues to outrank the moster comic book apps (Marvel, DC, Comixology, Manga Storm and others) and as of tonight is #14 overall in books/free category.

I wish could say how many downloads it has received but it is next to impossible to attain with out extremely deep pockets. I have confirmation via a phone call from appannie that to get that information it would cost 15k annually to access it. Yes, 15 thousand dollars will get you access to the top 25 apps in the book category. It includes all download data and revenue estimates for all top 25 apps and that includes global downloads and estimates.

Pretty incredible data and I see why major companies use appannie for investment analysis.

We will have to wait for REDG to release the data or Android release.

I will still get appannie statistics regarding World Rankings and here is what is showing as of yesterday (appannie always takes a day before updating their stats) for POWfolio:

top 100 in 3 countries (Slovenia #15, US #15, Qatar #16)
Top 500 in 12 countries (Denmark #157, Sweden, France, Russia, South Korea, Canada, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Lithuania #435)
Top 1000 in 17 countries (Thailand #504, Pakistan, Turkey, India, Germany #992)

The rankings fluctuate greatly in some countries. For example Russia and France increased almost 700 spots. Vietnam dropped almost 900 spots and off the top 1000. Canada was on, then off, and now back on at #342 for their country.

What I feel is important to follow is not only what countries it is staying in, but also the fact it is still truly global. Remember, localization will happen down the road - meaning REDG and Glowdot will put resources into making POWfolio more region specific if the numbers warrant the cost. For example China is not on the list anymore, but we already know they plan on beefing up Manga when they do go full on for the Asian market - most likely once Android is ready as well.

When trying to think of revenues - go back to the models that estimate revenues based on downloads. I wish Rick Strom had a numerical definition for "pretty big numbers" - that would make estimating much easier.

In the mean time we should feel confident about the global coverage POWfolio is showing.

Sorry for not being in as often - been extremely busy. the best to everyone here. thedocg
