POWfolio data from Appannnie: Sorry, didn't realize you guys couldn't see the links I sent. It's pretty easy to do a free access registration and really neat to see the data from all the different countries. The rankings change daily based on the data compiled by appannie, which as I mentioned before one of the tops in the business for app analytics.
As of May 28th: for the iphone category free books
top 100 app in 3 countries: 13 in U.S., 78 in Lithuania, 85 in United Arab Emerates
Top 500 app in 10 countries: Phillipines, Qatar, Thailand, Pakistan, Turkey, Indian, France
Top 1000 app in 12 countries: Mexico and Russia.
Canada and United Kingdom dropped out of the top 1000 ranking for those countries as of May 28th.
The rankings will continue to fluctuate greatly in some parts of the world. Of course we would like to see a ranking like we have in the U.S., but we have to realize, all the material is English speaking driven. I was surprised to see Canada drop as fast as it did considering the U.S. is so strong. But it could be some marketing going on that has helped the U.S. aspect.
Next post is ESTIMATING downloads and revenues. BTW, I will try to keep up if I can with the appannie statistics, just to get a feel for how POWfolio looks globally. Sorry, didn't have time to got back and track Marvel and Comixology., docg.
