All user-uploaded images from 1/01/2015 through this past Sunday have been restored. Monday's (5/23/2016) uploaded images have been lost, since the disk failed prior to it being backed up.

Images prior to 1/01/2015 will be restored within the next few days; they have to be retrieved from off-site backups.

From a "how does this affect me" perspective, if you observe missing images in iBoxes, older posts and signatures, be patient and they re-appear within a few days if they were in our user image repository.
