I can see how some confusion may occur on your part as your post 3963 listed only the inactive ingredients and you continue to represent that is all Sucanon contains, despite the active ingredients listed just above on the healthcanada website.
Now on to the specific FDA comments:
1.FDA said Sucanon is a drug per the food act
2.Although the FDA letter mentions only the "dried root radix Tricosanthes" component in the topic sentence, the FDA letter (in another section you conveniently omit) specifically states Sucanon as the trade name for the compound
3.FDA specifically references a press release announcing the presentation of the 12 week 97 subject study in in Latino prediabetics presented at the 2013 EASD annual meeting and published in their journal. The abstract of that study lists the active ingredients of Sucanon. Finally, FDA cites that very study referenced in the press release and other publicly available Sucanon study information as the basis that Sucanon has undergone "substantial clinical investigations".
The FDA letter and abstract/presentation and other Sucanon studies are publicly available and I encourage any to verify my claims. Anyone can say that's just not true. It's quite another thing to back up any claim with publicly verifiable information.
