You are exactly right, they are talking about the Platform (SPORTS platform is IREP), what is SRI's platform? They don't have a platform, at least not one that has been licensed by VERB yet. SRI was developing technology (i.e. Haptic feedback, etc) based off of existing robotic platforms (da vinci and IREP) - SRI's platform is not patent protected, some of their technology is but no patent on their surgical robotic platform.
