I mean no disrespect, but did they? I don't recall any patents. I don't like to get into semantics, but if you're referring to the 4/15/16 press release regarding Klean's TRADEMARK registration being approved, that has nothing to do with any technology, per se. All that press release says is that Klean has the exclusive right to use that LOGO in connection with "waste processing machines and equipment using carbonization, pyrolsysis and gasification methods to convert waste into liquid fuels and energy." No where does that press release state that Klean has a patent, license, or anything related to proprietary USE of any of Harmonic's technology. The PR mentions being "in the process of adding and preparing additional filings for new patents to expand its portfolio," etc., but let's all understand, that PR did nothing but protect Klean's mark, aka., their logo. Not really a huge deal. I have a registered trademark with the USPTO for a t-shirt company. I still have a day job.
Unless I totally missed something about patents. Again, I'm not trying to be a basher. I'm long on this. But I just want to make sure you have a clear view of the facts about this particular situation, and are not reading into it more than is actually there.
