Again it is just speculation that Pearl could have known anything about the activities of the bad banks licensed by DOM, etc.

And shouldn't the President of a "country" be responsible for what happens during her tenure?

Is Bushy in any way responsible for the Enron disaster? Yes, I think he is. Not to mention his brother and the S&L mess.
