Nope.

I had employees who were accountants because I didn't want to deal with that aspect of the business. AND, I wasn't qualified by temperament or skill-set to be effective for the job that needed to be done. It's had nothing to do with shielding me from liability, or being above reproach.

In fact, in a few cases when we had a big problem with a customer or another company, I ended up fighting the final battle/negotiation after hours of briefings.
