Instacare/DECN is not a start-up.

It's a rebuild/reinvention under a new product initiative.

Business preciseness is business preciseness.

Good standards practices...they build confidence.

They reinforce,instead of distract.

One isn't mutually exclusive....you can have both,instead of saying in essence "KB isn't one of those types".

So you and KB in his 60's dismiss their importance...after all these years?

I think it's more about where one is placing importance and spending most of his time vs an inability to place importance on them.

I would agree w/r to their ultimate determination of a product concepts success. Though it must of taken an immense amount of detail attention to get a product 510 approved. Unless all you did was refile paperwork from 5 years earlier,and change the product descriptions name. Then,I get ya...cleverness from a big picture standpoint was all that was needed.
