That sounds odd
Well whatever is going on, Scottrade seamed to be the last to stop internet buys. I was able to place and purchase 2 orders until 1:00 but my 3rd buy order at 1:20 could not be placed online…..Placed with broker.
She did not know why but has sent an email to the traders and will call me in the morning. She did confirm that SELL ORDERS could be placed online.

Seems that others were having problems hours before Scottrade if that has something to do with the individual firms
