Buying profitable companies, adds to the bottom line, it doesn't take away. And when you add the economies of scale to the bottom line of an already profitable company, you get higher EPS. Sure they use some equity to pay for it- but that's why we need to be clear that these aren't Sun Edison type acquisitions, these are profitable companies, which is why people use the word "accretion". It's not just some word- it actually has meaning. When people try to twist facts- by changing the definition of words, or by saying "oh you can call it whatever you want", it's hilarious. Language is the base of all conversation. Using the correct words like "accretion" make sense.
