Going_long, it appears from previous PR's that they plan to do this multiple times. I've questioned this strategy and still don't fully understand the reasons. However, a clue may be in the Oracle PR several days ago.

Knowing that Oracle must approve all joint PR's, this one is highly encouraging noting that it says:

(From Jeremy Nettle with Oracle)

"Working closely with Medify in the UK we have successfully delivered remote access to patient notes for GPs in the NHS. This is new and exciting technology and we see remote access as an important and innovative way of supporting our clients with a broader range of services. This is an important opportunity for both organisations to bring about patient benefits through the use of new, emerging technology across Europe, and potentially on a wider scale."

Thus it appears that Medify really does have something that the big boys are fond of and if my hunch is correct, with Oracle this thing could fly high and fast into new markets.

In reading articles in e-Health Insider, I've noticed numerous times mention of the NHS being considered as a standard for healthcare and related technology in Europe. Therefore, when something is approved for use within the NHS it's a given that other European countries will follow suit.

Exciting...!!!
