Directors in a company as small as TRTC means they have a fancy title but do all the leg work and they do it with no pay just stock that may be worth nothing. Directors at the large companies earn their money. The travel alone would have many folks whining. And unlike hourly folks, they have to preform or leave. Not to mention that at that level you are working with serious, smart and driven folks who don't put up with crap. They are not your average burger flipper. I like the idea of being paid with stock. You do well and the company succeeds then the stock goes up and you make more money.
On the other hand, it is normal today for the CEO of a major corporation to get a salary of say 20 million dollars a year regardless of how the company performs. Now that is wrong for the business and wrong for the share holders.
