DEA - run by an interim head named Chuck Rosenburg. Appointed to Obama's appointed Attorney General, Loretta Lynch.

Atty Generals View on MMJ - states should be allowed to legalize marijuana, but believes the federal government has a role to play in keeping cannabis away from kids and stopping interstate trafficking in the drug.

Today there is an unsustainable imbalance between states who allow MJ in any capacity and the Federal laws. It is very foolish to assume the hypocrisy and imbalance will continue. The only step that will alleviate the uncomfortable the DEA finds itself in is to change the schedule of MJ from Schedule I to Schedule II.

I doubt they will go further almost as much as I doubt they will do less.
