The more I look at these studies, the less likely I feel that Abbott will continue the partnership with BOCX. It has now been 16 months and we are getting down to the wire. I fully understand that Abbott truly wants to reduce the impact of false positives with their PSA tests. There seems to be a problem with RECAF and prostate cancer. It is not able to get the sensitivity up without including a bunch of false positives, exactly what Abbott is wanting to get rid of in the first place. You raise the bar for false positives and you start to miss cancers.

It is in contrast to the study for breast cancer that was released with both high sensitivity and a low rate of false positives. Too bad Abbott is not first looking at breast cancer because I think RECAF would do well there if the study was accurate. What is going to happen is that Abbott is going to get discouraged with the attempt at prostate cancer and toss in the towel.

Moro's last effort at a press release and the conference got almost no bump at all and from what I sensed, most of the buying occurred by readers of this board. We are now back to 60 cents with the 50's looming. It doesn't look good, in fact very discouraging.
