By not competing properly in mobile Intel has let the ARM ecosystem grow and by not competing properly in foundry it has let Samsung and TSMC grow. These were not things BK did. He has said quite the opposite, but he hasn't been able to make a dent in opposing those entrenched views and forces in Intel. If encouraging diversity in the workplace and getting rid of those expert and very intelligent people who have just been keeping Intel on track and stopping needed innovation and development is what's needed to tell people that there is a crisis and they better shape up then good for him is what I think.

100% agree! It's easy to just blame Krzanich for this failure. It's also a cheap excuse to dump the shares and say it was due to diversity policy of the management. Intel's problems lay much deeper in the structure and inability of its people and it's those people who now have to pay for it through layoffs. I think this is fair enough!

By the way: Where is Altera's Stratix 10? I thought Intel is so great with its process technology? Xilinx is about to overtake and Intel simply overpromised - again. Something is wrong in the inner core of Intel and that is not the CEO.
