I know Rick, nothing against your opinion, but in the real world 2 means a couple, a few means, anywhere from 3 and up to 6 weeks. However, I've seen companies, when they say few weeks with no definitive date, they could possibly come out with surprise announcement way before few weeks, it does not obligate them to make an announcement in few weeks, they could in-fact make an announcement the following week. Going forward, my personal opinion is either the 1st or 2n week of June. The most important thing that we need to watch for, between now and end of next week is any denial from either company, if no denial then its all a go. But, like you said, nothing is guaranteed except death and taxes, even with taxes you can get away, but not death.
