this aint a delay...ffs ..they upgraded the sterile properties of the devise, and re testing the system. No one said they didn't pass an inspection. Material engineering is allways a moving target! upgrade evrything, every chance you get
the tech in this vid is fun...watch this...you will start upgrading too

the thing about engineering and building prototypes ...are they ever really perfected? It is likely they have tweaked the design, the mechanism which deploys the optical sensors has several moving parts. The testing process is meant to measure and expose potentially weak aspects of the design, and it is a Luxury for dr Lilge to tweak the design..a chance to make it better...inventors love this stuff.....maybe they designed a disposable version..or applied some newer tech. It's all GOOD.
Dr Lilge is the expert in this department....he owns the patent on the gizmo, he gets the patent royalties,.he will get this done ....... he also speaks 5 languages.

The science looks fine, but the current focus is on the material engineering, some of the questions on the table include; Is the sterilization procedure adequate? are the fiber optics and sensors affected by the sterilization procedure? How many proceedures can these optical fibers and sensors endure before they should be replaced? Are there enough details provided in the ITA application to satisfy HC? yadda yadda Material engineering is both important and helpful so I don't see this as a delay, It's more like a refinement to avoid complications.
I have direct experience with my own new product development, I don't see anything unusual going on nor the potential for a fatal flaw. The worst case senario with these fibers and sensors is to replace them after each use, they are not very expensive.
