Your assumption is they just started...NO, they just announced the partnership....either/and or they could have both started into R&D a while back. And since when does a capitalistic society care who started first....usually it is the second or third to the market that is most successful, as they learn from all the mistakes of first to market.
And again refer to my other post. If ANY of the companies that are focusing on IPQA and quality in any manner are PRIVATE, they are not required to disclose a THING, NOTHING, NADA, so there could be a number of private companies that are much further along, but neither you, nor I will know until THEY choose to make that public.
As for the name throwing...they have been evaluating for over a year now on many cases and yet no sign of a contract or extending any type of positive actions to SGLB as it relates to financials. (Keeping in mind that GE has extensive capital to do such things, despite selling off their financial arm recently)
Bottom-line, If the product were so spot on, then the sales/contracts would already be in place.
