The problem with these reports are they expect something to be immediate. It is already known that the energy density is not there conspired to coal and gas. That's fine


I mean ethanol in gasoline is soooooo much worse but no one is causing a stink about that

The problem is everyone wants a short term solution. It is better to use biomass and have plans to back fill those places to absorb the carbon output. It takes a long time. But it is far better than ripping up the earth and pulling deep storage of carbon and emitting it.

Another couple of points. This is taking biomass already destined to be burned and creating syngas to then create fertilizer. Just burning syngas is what is compared in there so called reports. Taking it the step further and using it to speed up or assist in the absorption of carbon by growing plants is the plus here. If you think of all the bio waste that comes from these farms it can easily reduce carbon emissions and keep it in the cycle. Will it be THE answer. Probably not. But it's better than pulling stuff out of the ground.
