I think he wants to "have his cake and eat it to". If they hedge complain about the losses and gains that are artificial. If they don't hedge complain about the losses and gains from not hedging.
His real solution is getting rid of the gse's altogether clearly. That was their goal from the start but they lied in 2002-.... 2011 etc. Now they want to hide the embarrassment- so stonewall the release of all documents!
