Sorry to butt in, but I think the issue isn't a pull back based upon any "technical" trading reasons so much as an engineered pull back to save a bunch of short cartel asses.

FWIW, There is a difference.

Cork, well put, how can an "engineered pullback" be accurately analysed and input into the equation when we are not privy to the where, when and how much, timing of said intervention? I don't visit this "Mining and Metals" site to hear a bunch of main stream so called "chartists" gleefully prognosticating about how golds's going to retest $1050 or drop below $1000 or "Goldman Sachs" says this "Bank of America" says that. I've heard enough of that crap over the last 5 years, frankly its getting a bit tiresome.
