In case you were being sarcastic - I'll try to keep my reply short To be blunt, one thing I've never seen any chartist do (for long) is give accurate short term predictions (ones that would be useful for trading). So either they are making a ton of money and for some self-destructive reason come on message boards to risk their cash cow by promoting their methods or they're still searching for an answer (like the rest of us) but are comforted by the structure of an ideology.

Of course, there might be alternatives I haven't considered.
