I've smacked it quite a few times, myself. My resources are limited (disability) and I have to be careful not to 'overindulge'. I did that two years ago on a company that looked great, was expanding, etc. then one day the lights went out. The CEOs only explanation was that a major player pulled out. I got stung for over $25K...what burns me the most is one of my nephews, on my advice, tied up his daughters college fund...I can't fix that.
So, here I am looking (buying) into this company with great potential, huge 120 day progress, making good money...but, once bitten, twice shy. It scares me to think I could look up tomorrow and see goose eggs in my account. (again).
I'm actually pretty comfortable with this investment due primarily to the vast amount of tangible assets...I don't think it will die a 'sudden death'. Sure do need those fins, though...
