Neal,

You quote the article as saying; "Genstrip 50 is already being marketed by Pharma Tech, with early sales reported to be growing briskly. The company expects that if the product proves to be effective and successful, one of the major pharmaceutical companies may license the product, which would then be more broadly distributed, in competition with J&J’s LifeScan."

I think the first keyword to be noted in the first sentence is "reported."

". . . with early sales REPORTED to be growing briskly." Marcial didn't say that sales ARE growing briskly.

He's saying that that's what somebody told him. I don't mean to cast any aspersions, but we all know that some of the things reported here have not come to pass.

In the second sentence, the words "if" and "may" should be taken in consideration.

Also, the word "briskly" is a word open to interpretation. "Growing briskly" even more so. If I went three years without making a sale of something, and then one month I sold ten units of that thing, I could fairly say that my sales had grown briskly.

We must read magazines, newspapers, candidates' speeches, etc., very carefully, to say nothing of internet bulletin boards.
