Folks shouldn't go by those numbers. They are useless these days...we're in an era of flash trading, naked shirting and hedge fund-nonsense.

If there was a number recording long positions, my long position from earlier this week would not be recorded as I closed it out yesterday. Shorts do the same thing...they slip in and slip out. Only difference is that on Tuesday they got caught!!
