I don't think the second well was ever acctually scheduled and was always just a remote possibility. I would much rather the data from the first well be incorporated into the decision before deciding where to drill a second well anyway.

I always thought it was a huge mistake to drill 5 wells in the JDZ without incorporating well data from each well to assist in future well decisions.

My preference is to drill an appraisal well if there is a discovery and prove some reserves since one well can't prove reserves. Even then, as with Tullow and Africa Oil, it will take many more wells in many more prospects to prove commerciality. My guess is that the minimum needed is about 250 million bbls. This one well in this one prospect is targeting less than 70 million bbls.
