Maybe some kind of algorithmic trading software that has gone awry?

Typically institutional investors would use this strategy as they are not subject to fees, but their blocks would be way larger obviously...

If someone is trying to inconspicuously get a large position without impacting price too significantly to allow them to acquire more shares on the cheap once again they would typically grab more shares per trade...

This is very odd, but my best guess is these are software trades, not human trades and by someone who does not pay commissions...

Either way, it is not effective...maybe somebody messed up!
