Negative, if you look at a weekly 10 yr chart of gss you will note the gss stock price crashed with the stock market from March of 2007 until January of 2009 then the stock market began to recover as well as gss. However , as you said the eq market is now overvalued, so what do you suppose will happen to all stocks? The falling tide will suck them down. Do not confuse stock in a company with the physical asset or a guaranteed futures contract. They are very different.
