Welp that can't be the reason, it must be a bug in the iHub software. Those posts were still on the YIPI website for a long time after I had tried to delete them. Indeed, after I posted my issue here, one of the users of this board PM'ed me that the YIPI user's account had been booted - some time after I posted my question here - and I went back to the YIPI board and those objectionable emails were still there and I could still not delete them, although the user's account showed that he was booted by that time.

I checked again even late before I quit for the morning (about 2:15 AM Pacific) and those messages were still up on YIPI and (in all cases) when I went to the manage board screen they also showed as not deleted.

Sometime between then (2:15AM Pacific) and 7AM Pacific today, those messages disappeared from the YIPI board.

So I think there is a glitch in the iHub system. Please be aware of this, because if somebody posts some really objectionable stuff - like sensitive private information, it might remain visible to the public for many hours after an Admin of Mod Squad believes they may have deleted the posts and booted the user.
