Investor, sounds like HIP process...

I wonder what the difference between Alcoa's Ampilforge and HIPing is ?

From what I can understand the HIP process basically puts the hot 3D printed part under high pressure to further increase the denseness of the metal... it's only required for those parts that have to survive extreme conditions...Alcoa's process doesn't on the surface at least sound much different...

BTW.. they call a $60M investment in 3D a "Big Bet"... ha, what a joke... GE is puting $200Mil in CMC development... $60M is chump change in their business...
